IT industry showing positive signs of growth - 1-Dec-2009
S. Ramdurai, Vice-President, TCS participated in one of the function held at Sashtra Deemed University.
He gave several details about Indian IT industry.
He told that the IT industry has started to show signs of recovery, therfore students need not panic or loose hope. The IT industry has started to show positive signs on developmental aspects at international level. Although the IT industry showed signs of turn down for few months at international level, the Indian IT industry displayed more stability and hope.
The IT companies in India made few alterations in their practical operations to retain this healthy state. The Indian companies followed few techniques like client centered service, retaining clients, following new technology and management practices during this time.
Instead of just dreaming, our students should formulate new techniques. Only then, development can take place in the future India. Since the IT industry is again on the rise, students should focus on developing industry related skills and other skills, apart from strengthening their technical skills, said Ramdurai. Leading companies like TCS didnt consider this economic slow down as negative feature instead formulated new techniques and has provided more opportunities, he said
All information released recently about our IT industry seems to provide fresh hopes.
