UVA Darden School of Business offers MOOC - 21-Oct-2016
October: The University of Virginia Darden School of Business’ massive open online course (MOOC) titled - Grow to Greatness - is set to start on October 24, 2016.
Led by Edward H Hess, Professor of Business Administration and Batten Executive-in-Residence, the successful MOOC is the first of the two-part course focusing on the common growth challenges faced by existing private businesses when they attempt to grow substantially.
Professor Hess, who is a top authority on high-performance businesses, and focuses on organic growth and innovation strategies, systems and processes, and servant leadership, has been teaching the Grow to Greatness course on Coursera since its inception in 2013. This course has been very popular with learners, as the course has already seen over 54,500 enrollments in Part 1 and 22,750 in Part 2.
Throughout the two-part course, Professor Hess helps provide students and small business owners the opportunity to learn more about the challenges of growing a private business. Past registrants hail from India, Spain, China, Australia, Mexico, Poland, Germany, Singapore, Portugal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Romania, Indonesia and a number of other South American, European and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics countries.
Available on-demand, registration is open to anyone with an Internet connection. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements can earn a Course Certificate, or students can audit the course for free.
