We have read that along with technical skills it is highly essential to possess soft skills.
Soft skills play an important role in deciding about the personality of an Individual. As soft skills are directly linked to a person thought flow, all companies show interest in determining if the person posses these skills before appointing.
Technical skills are absolutely essential in the present economic scenario. Although, the need for these skills never reduce, possessing additional soft skills is an added advantage and vital. Soft skills play a decisive role in implementing business strategy in the company.
Soft skills form a part of a large division of communication skills. Apart from requiring soft skills to work in a place where diverse people from different backgrounds work, if the employees do not posses these skills up to a basic level several problems arises in understanding each others intentions.
Soft skills are identified as the inter-personal skills, which is the ability to interact with co-workers, social relationship, team spirit, inspiration skills, time management, self-motivated personality, ability to understand the need of the customer, communication skills, leadership skills and emotional balance. In order to improve a persons soft skills it is necessary to develop 4 main areas.
First, it is necessary to be sensible to understand a persons feelings and their immediate reaction to certain decisions. Secondly, it is essential to have the capacity to access the change in certain formal situation and posses the self-discipline to control a persons emotion.
The third necessity, is to poses the capacity to identify an individuals emotional feelings without disturbing the work ambience and provide an apt solution to the existing crisis. Fourthly, it is necessary to posses relationship skills to set right the problems arising in the work spot and develop good relationship between the employees.
Presently, these skills are provided by soft skill trainers. Specialized trainings are available towards acquiring soft skills. It is possible develop these skills through these trainings. Although, there are deliberations about acquiring these skills through few hours of training, as it has become a necessity in this business oriented world these skills need to be obtained.
It is good to do these soft skills training while joining in college itself, educationists recommend. Once, if we understand that developing soft skills is an additional requirement of our educational set up, our future would be bright.
