Admissions in Institute of Physics-
Applications are invited for admissions to Pre-Doctoral and Ph. D. Programme 2009
The research activity in the Institute centers around the areas of theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, nuclear physics and high energy physics.
The Predoctoral programme is designed to train fresh M.Sc. students for conducting research activities.
Candidates who have qualified JEST-2009 with a minimum score of 95 Percentile need not send any application. They will be contacted directly by the Institute. If a candidate has scored less than 95 percentile in JEST-2009 but satisfies any of the criteria for GATE/NET as above, he/she should also send the application.
Candidates appearing for the final semester/ year of M.Sc., who have already qualified in GATE or CSIR/UGC-NET can also apply. They should submit the relevant proof before joining the pre-doctoral programme. In case of non-availability of the M.Sc. results at the time of joining, the admission will be treated as provisional
