Two leading web designing companies in America conducted a recent survey in India on the various problems in visiting a website.
The study revealed that among the crores of Indians, language was the main problem of many not using computers and Internet.
Hence, these companies started realizing the necessity for other languages than English on the website and Internet. As a result, several websites and softwares have started to come out in Indian languages.
Google is gathering and releasing its information in 13 Indian languages. Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telegu are some of the main languages. Apart from this it provides transliteration softwares in languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil and Telegu. It is possible to get the regional language letters displayed, by typing English letters. Moreover, translation sections for languages like Hindi and other languages are also available.
Softwares for converting information into regional languages has come as a great blessing for publishing web based books and journals in Indian languages. It has also turned out to be an immense blessing for Hindi speaking journalists to have computers with softwares in other Indian languages. It has facilitated journalist to write articles with ease through the easy access to some minute statistical details in the Internet.
Now, leading software companies have captivated many Indians by converting their softwares in Indian languages. IIM- Bangalore has been selected as the top business among all the B-schools in India, in a recent survey conducted by SMPG, a leading French consulting company. This Indian educational institution has bagged this award for the second consecutive year. This ranking is based on the study conducted on top 100 business schools around the world. Based on various reasons like accreditation status, membership, national and international ranking this ranking is provided.
