Going to finish a technical course this year?  Were you rejected in any campus interviews? 

Surely anybody in your situation would undergo lot of mental depression. With great difficulty and care you would have carried out four-years of education. Definitely you will reap the outcome of your hard work. But, all that you need now is patience and determination. Certainly, you should understand that frustration and discouragement would not help to accomplish your ambition.

First, critically analyze about yourself without any prejudice. It is not very difficult self-analyze to find out the reason for not being selected in the campus interview. It would be helpful to rectify and avoid the mistake. It would be helpful to improve in terms of communication skills, English speaking skills and self-confidence. Initiating towards this would be very important.

If very less number of companies come for campus interview, try to apply for the companies that your seniors earlier got into with help of its website. If not, you can apply online or through post short listing the companies of your choice. Identify the type of people that the company recruits and the skills that you possess for that particular company, if not, prepare to develop in that specific area. Find out, the prospects of achieving your goal joining such company and how this would benefit the organization employing you. In choosing a company to work this is the most important aspect.  

During the interview, it is important to project the additional skills that you posses than others who also wish to join the same company. Bio-data or email that you had sent forms the initial communication between you and the company. Hence, make the bio-data good, simple and attractive enough to entice the reader. It should contain the purpose of choosing the particular job, work experience section and accomplishments that reveals your skills sets. It can also carry details about the seminars attended and certain specialized studies completed. Every bio data must be sent along with a covering letter.

Covering letter should carry a small write-up about the applicant. Sometimes it might be neccessary to meet the HR personnel with bio-data and the covering letter during which the applicant should be able to convince the reason for joining this company. Some selected through campus interview are placed in the position that they were not selected. If the applicant ensures that the bio data reaches the right person and carries out appropriate follow-up it is sure to get a job in the same company. Only when you are about to enter the final year or in the final year, it is right to think and try out for a job.
