Asia-e university launches in India- 30-Jan-2010
Started with the cooperation of 31 countries, the Asia- e University is about to instigate its UG studies and PG studies in India shortly.
Run by the Malaysian government, this University was started by the ASIAN cooperative countries in the year 2007. The cooperative comprises of countries like India, China, Bhutan, Bahrain, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Russian Federation, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
The Malaysian Higher education Minster participated and inaugurated the university in a formal function held at Chennai. Indian distance education council has granted recognition to offer the courses of this university in India. Bureau of Indian Distance Learning (BIDL) provides courses of Asia-e in India.
This Universitys distance education programmes are designed to reach everyone and ensured of very high standards. By the end of this year 100-study centers will be established in India told Velmurugan, Chariman, BIDL.

Apart from these, the other courses offered are B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil and other UG courses. It offers research studies like M.Phil and Ph.D in other branches except science.
