New Delhi: UGC has revised set of ‘eligibility criteria’ adopted to make candidates qualify the most sought after UGC NET examination from 2017 onwards.
Making a new selection procedure with introducing latest amendments for the ‘preparation of the merit list’ which includes shortlisted selected candidates who qualify the UGC NET exams 2017 onwards, the amendment has been incorporated into the current UGC norms as per the data analysis conducted over the procured statistics of past two decades of examination results of UGC NET.
National Eligibility Test i.e. NET examination which is conducted by the ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’ i.e. CBSE on behalf of the UGC or University Grants Commission making it abbreviate as UGC NET has now a revised eligibility criteria.
Carried out via a ‘data analysis’ performed over past records of statistical facts and figures of the candidates belonging to different castes and categories based on which various criteria for selections were adopted.
Changing that pattern wherein over 15% candidates belonging to reserved categories were declared as ‘qualified’ for the UGC NET exam is scheduled to be held in November 2017 has been amended now.
Here’s what all has been changed with the recent amendment in eligibility criteria as proposed by the ‘University Grants Commission’ i.e. UGC in its NET 2017 examination which is required to be conveyed to the CBSE which is the conducting authority of the UGC NET examination every year.
The UGC NET exam 2018 onwards would be conducted once a year with this years’ 2017 being one scheduled in Nov,2017
The amendment has been introduced on the grounds that past records and statistics show that the candidates belonging to the reserved categories declared qualified for the UGC NET exam outnumber the General Category candidates despite the lower level of minimum marks criteria already granted to them.
Let us see what repercussions this proposal will have on candidates who are preparing hard for this year’s UGC NET 2017 examination!
