The term Psychology originates from a Greek word meaning studying the mind. In 1802, a French psychologist, Pierre Cabanis carried out research on psychology and its relation with biology. He concluded that cognition and soul of a living being is directly linked to the nervous system.
In the year 1879, a physics scientist from Germany, Wilhelm Wond set up research laboratory to pursue researches linked to psychology. Hence, he is called as the father of psychology. By the end of 1950 scientists like Wond, James, Ephinas brought out findings related to psychology.
