Psychology is the study of diagnosing and treating the mental problems. It is all about the study of mind and the behavioral pattern of a person. Experts in this field are called as Psychologist. After studying about the human mind processes, motives, reactions, feelings and nature of mind, they provide right solutions
The quest for knowledge in Psychology carries out researches about education, family and business. After carrying out various researches on the pros and cons of the above-mentioned sections psychology provides a solution to those problems. Psychology comprises of several specialisations such as social psychology, child psychology, sports psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, experimental psychology, etc. The expected growth percentage in this field is very high. The term Psychology originates from a Greek word meaning studying the mind. In 1802, a French psychologist, Pierre Cabanis carried out research on psychology and its relation with biology. He concluded that cognition and soul of a living being is directly linked to the nervous system.
In the year 1879, a physics scientist from Germany, Wilhelm Wond set up research laboratory to pursue researches linked to psychology. Hence, he is called as the father of psychology. By the end of 1950 scientists like Wond, James, Ephinas brought out findings related to psychology.
