Number of students willing to accomplish in IIT is on the rise every year.

IIT entrance examination is one of the toughest examinations in the world. Every year almost 2.5 lakh students appear for this entrance examination for just 5,000 seats. Students willing to succeed in IIT entrance examination should be acquainted with the basics of Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and its practical applications. Since the questions are not repeated every year it would be advisable for the students to study all the lessons right from the beginning itself.

In IITs, 4 year B.Tech  courses are available in Civil, Computer Science, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Engineering Physics, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Material Science, Production and Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology, Bio-Technology, Electrical and Electronics, Mathematics and Computing, Agriculture and Food Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture, Mining and Pulp and Paper Engineering.

Apart from these, it also provides B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech and 5 year integrated M.Sc courses.  In past few years several changes are being carried out in the IIT entrance examinations. In a single day alone 2 to 3 hours examination would be conducted in 2 parts.

One paper in the morning session comprising of subjects like Maths, Physic and Chemistry. Another examination would be held in the afternoon session based on the same three subjects. Both papers are objective type and carry negative marks for wrong answers. Hence, students guessing and answering are likely caught off-guarded. 

Five-year integrated course for arts students have been started in IIT Madras. MA in Development Studies, Economics and English has been started. Duration of the course is fixed as five years. Students who have completed plus two can join these courses. A separate entrance examination would be conducted in places like Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkotta, Mumbai and Delhi. Notification regarding this would be released in January and the entrance exams conducted in the month of March. In this objective type exam for three hours questions would appear to test English comprehension skill, Analytical and Quantitative ability and General knowledge.

In India, IITs, are functioning in Mumbai, Delhi, Guwathi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, and Roorkee. Situation here in India is such that, a unique entrance exam is conducted for enrolling students to join these coaching centers which have come up rapidly across the country for providing specialized training. Kotta, a popular place in Rajasthan state has numerous IIT entrance coaching centers in almost all the nooks and corners.  

Since IIT studies provide several job opportunities at international level, several students strive hard as they consider it as their ambition to get into IIT and trust that their vision of obtaining overseas job is at hand.
