Do you think that only IITs and Engineering colleges alone provide good engineering courses?   Among colleges that offer heavy demanding courses is also the Swiss-Indo Training Center mentioned by you.

The Central Scientific Instruments Organization manages this Center with the alliance of Swiss Foundation  from Switzerland.  It conducts the following courses:

  • Diploma in Instrument Technology 3 years course.
  • Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics and Industrial Automation.-- 4 years course.
  • Advanced Diploma in Dye and Mould Making-- 4 years course.

Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics and Industrial Automation is recognized by AICTE and the Central Government recognizes the other two courses.
.
These courses are conducted with the help of High-Tech instruments.  The course lays emphasis on practical training unlike the other insitutions which do not give much  stress to practical training.

As these organizations manufacture equipments and accessories for industries, the students are able to equip themselves with good practical training while they are studying.

Those who have finished 10th or Plus2 can apply for this course.  They must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in plus two.  It is possible to join through entrance examinations.   There will be questions on English, Mathematics, Science and General Knowledge.  Nearly Rs .15, 000/- per annum, including hostel fees  has to be paid.  Advertisements regarding the course will appear in the newspapers.  Kindly check and apply.
