ICT, known as Institute of Chemical technology, is a central government institute for students aspiring to reach great heights in the area of chemical industry.

In this deemed university that is built on par excellence with the IITs, functioning under the central government,  the syllabus is meticulously designed for technological  developments in Chemical, Biology, Material, Dye, Food, Oils , Polymer, Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics.


UG programmes: It offers Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Pharmacy, BTech in Fibres and Textiles Processing Technology; Dyestuff Technology; Food Engineering Technology; Oils, Oleochemicals & Surfactants Technology; Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology; Polymer Engineering & Technology; and Surface Coating Technology.


Admission Procedure: Students passed in plus two with science as the first subject can apply. Student admission takes place based on scores obtained in JEE main examination.    


PG Programmes: It offers Master of Chemical Engineering, Master of Pharmacy, M.Tech in Dyestuff Technology; Fibres & Textile Processing Technology; Food Engineering & Technology; Oils, Oleochemicals & Surfactants Technology; Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology; Polymer Engineering & Technology; Surface Coating Technology; Green Technology; Bioprocess Technology; Food Biotechnology, M.E in Plastic Engineering and MSc in Chemistry; Engineering Mathematics; Physics; and Textile Chemistry.    


Eligibility: A pass in UG studies in Engineering, Technology or Science with 60% is enough to apply for PG programmes. For SC/ ST candidates 55% is enough.


Admission Procedure: Admission is based on scores obtained in GATE/ Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test.


Research & Diploma Programmes:


It offers Phd (Tech) in Bioprocess Technology; Chemical Engineering ; Dyestuff Technology; Fibres & Textile Processing Technology; Food Technology; Food Engineering & Technology; Green Technology; Nanotechnology; Oils, Oleochemicals & Surfactants Technology; Pharmaceutical Technology; Polymer Engineering & Technology; Surface Coating Technology; Plastic Engineering;  Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Electronics Engineering; Mechanical Engineering.


Phd in Pharmacy has four branches – Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy.


To add on, it offers Phd (Science) in Biochemistry; Biotechnology; Chemistry (Organic/Inorganic/Physical) Physics; Mathematics; Food Science; and Textile Chemistry.


Chemical Technology Management is offered as Post Graduate Diploma course.
