5 new PG courses from Pondicherry Varsity- 20-Apr-2010
The Pondicherry University recently introduced five new PG courses in its educational hub.
M.S.c., Micro-Biololgy: Students completing studies in Microbiology have excellent job opportunities. This course covers Biochemistry, research on diseases arising through bacterias and viruses, research on fungus, genes, medical microbiology, food microbiology and genetic engineering.
Eligibility: With minimum of 55% should have completed Under Graduation in anyone degree like Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
Eligibility: Should have obtained B.E degree in any one of the branches like Electronics communication, Electrical and Electronics and Electronic Instrumentation or should have completed MSc., in Physics or Electronics
M.Tech ., Electronics: This branch covers topics like system design, digital and optical communications, microwave and power electronics.
Eligibility: Should have got a BE degree in anyone of the branches like Electronics communication, Electrical and Electronics and Electronic Instrumentation.
M.Tech., Nano Science and Nano Technology: Nano Technology is expected take over the next few years. In the present scenario, nano technology is used in many segments like physics, medicine, Engineering and Biology. Across the globe, new researches about nano- technology come out everyday.
This course comprises of subjects like nano-material, nano-stucture, nano-design, nano-electronics, nano- photonics.
Eligibility: Should have completed MSc., in any one branch like Physics, Chemistry, Electronics and Material science and BE degree in anyone of the specialized branches like Electronics, Electronics communication, Mechanical, Computer science, Bio-medical and Bio-technology.
M.Tec., Exploration Geo Science: It is geological science carrying research activities on natural gas, minerals, fuel, petroleum and ground water. This course comprises of subjects like mineral research, petroleum research, remote sensing, latest diagnostics methods, geo-physics and statistics methodology.
M.Tech., Green Technology: For the first time in the country this unique course has been started here at this University. All necessities for Human Resource Development could be met through Green technology.
Eligibility: Should have completed anyone degree in BE., B.Tech., and MSc in studies like Material science, Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry.
These five new courses would be initiated from the forthcoming academic at the Pondicherry University.
