The worst part student exam is studying. Especially if you haven’t been studying all throughout your academic year. However, this is not the reality. If you are not aiming to get an “A” you can prepare within 3-4 weeks for your exam and get a good marks. This section would give you some general tips on how to succeed in your exam. Well, if you are aiming for the best grades you will have to spend more time. We have provided some tips below to help you organise and aid you to pass through your exams.

Start off today: “Never too late than never”. Make sure that you give sufficient time for preparation. Organize all your notes and ensure that you have covered the specified portion.

Sort out: Sort out the portions that are covered for the exams and go through your notes to make out the areas that you need to work on.  Calculate the approximate time to cover up each course, ensure not to cramp your schedule.

Set the right priority:  Provide yourself enough time to the courses / subjects that are a necessity for your program.  Come to a conclusion on the subject that would require more time and work also which is worth spending. You must not be spending most of your time on a course that you are really strong at and the exam in which only 10 % of mark would be considered.

Split up: Make a thorough analysis on the contents of your textbooks and the required syllabi and find out 1) The present knowledge level that you possess, 2) The value of the topic in terms of marks and 3) the level of difficulty of each topic. Based on these assessments make the right choice on which topic to study first and which would take the most time. Allocate a time to study each topic and ensure that you put the most difficult ones first.

Be Specific: Your goal becomes realistic and easy to complete, if you clearly define what you want. It would make a mammoth task look very easy and less strenuous. Do not say that you need to study Mathematics, instead be specific to say that you are going to work out chapter- 5. Do check your progress regularly against your course outlines and schedules.

Take care of your health:  Provide sufficient time for sleeping, eating and little bit of casual walk. After a successful session of study compliment yourself with a small chat with your friend or a good meal with your family.

Check your anxiety: A marginal level of anxiety is in fact good, but a little beyond that is too dangerous. If you happen to find symptoms of anxiety level going up do little bit of stretching, deep breathing, take short breaks and always be positive. When you get stuck up, ask yourself, “ You can complete one task at a time and never you can surpass the speed of your system” what is the one task that I should accomplish right now?”
