SRM entrance exam results declared -

Chennai: The engineering entrance exams results of SRM deemed university (SRMEEE), conducted on May 3, 2009, have been released.

The first rank went to P. Athindran from Tamil Nadu, S.Narayan from Gujarat secured the second rank and Chillera Venkata Manoj from Andhra Pradesh bagged the third spot.

These three students and the next 17 in the ranking list will be provided the University�s Founders Scholarships, which provide free education, including waiver of tuition, hostel, mess and transport fees, and additional stipend of Rs.1,000 every month.

This Founders Scholarship is also offered to the top 100 students from the CBSE or State Board examinations from any State and the top five students from any district in Tamil Nadu.

For students who scored above 90 per cent in CBSE or above 95 per cent in State Board examinations, and are also ranked among the top 8,000 in SRMEEE, a scholarship covering up to 50 per cent of the tuition fee will be given in the branch they are eligible for at the time of counselling.
