Over 3 lakhs to appear for GATE on Sunday- 13-Feb-2010
Kochi: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ( GATE ) conducted by the IITs will be held on 14th at various centres across the country. More than three lakhs students have registered this year for GATE, registering a substantial growth in number. A total numer of around 4800 students will be appearing for this examination at nine centres in Ernakulam , according to Dr. K .Swaminathan , Associate Professor, IIT Madras who is in charge of a centre at Ernakulam. The three hour exam will begin at 9.30 am .
Examination is in the usual manner as in the previous years where the candidate will mark the correct answer out of four options in an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble. The question papers will be in English only.
The results of GATE 2010 will be announced on March 15, 2010 at 10:00 hrs. at GATE offices and on the websites of IISc and seven IITs. GATE 2010 score is valid for TWO YEARS from the date of announcement of the GATE 2010 results.
