Kochi: Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Department of Human Resource Management, Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies held the International conference on Human Resource Management recently.. The event witnessed the attendance of several dignitaries where the book ‘Human Resource Management by Garry Dessler and Bju Varkkey,’ was launched by Mr. T. Damu, Vice President (Corporate Affairs), Indian Hotels Company Ltd., post delivering the keynote address.
Dr. Joseph Injodey, Principal, Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies in his opening remarks reiterated the requirement of joint efforts from practitioners and academics in order to facilitate the advancement in Human Resource field. Fr. Jose Alex CMI, the Director of the Institute, gave a view of the achievements made by the school alumni.
The conference titled ‘’The Strategic Focus” attracted over 150 representatives of Industry, academia and alumni. Various topics deliberated at the conference covered trends & status of HR practices, role of HR as a business partner, changing paradigms of HR with change in generations and HR management education scenario.
