Government polytechnic at Kallasappakam Tiruvannamalai: A government polytechnic for Tiruvannamalai district will come up at Then Mathimangalam in Kalasappakkam block. Collector M. Rajendran visited few proposed sites and then selected Then Mathimangalam owing to road and transport facilities. Five acres of land will be acquired from 15 acres of temple land available on the site. "As it may take a year to complete the construction work, the college will function from next year. The college will have 25,000 sq ft of built up area," Mr. Rajendran said.
