Initially, Sociology was associated merely with social work. However, in todays speedy life fashion, Sociology come to our rescue to face general problems like, drug abuse, psychological disturbances and geriatric care. The amount of satisfaction one finds in this field is enormous. If a person has patience, incessant zeal and a good psychological approach towards people, he can undertake this course. How much of satisfaction we derive when we understand that we may be able to bring remarkable changes in one''s life!
The duty of the Sociologists is to exterminate social, economical and emotional problems. Further, their jobs comprise high objectives such as Counseling, conduct of Symposia, augmentation of basic Resources, creating wide-spread awareness, designing and implementing social projects and executing healthcare projects.
Clinical Social Work, School Social Work, Psychological Social Work, Rehabilitation and Delinquency Social Work, Medical Social Work, Community Social Work and Industrial Social Work are some of the divisions of Social Work.
Those who have completed this course can obtain jobs in Governmental and Non Governmental Organizations. One can take up MSW or MA in this field. For those who have completed this, jobs are available in UNICEF, UNESCO and LABOUR BUREAU
