This is the integrated study of Medicine and Engineering. This study paves way to diagnose disease and decide medical procedure by using the latest engineering equipments. Biomedical Engineers work along with the Doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians, Design instrument users and Medical software creators. This field employs the techniques of diverse subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

There are various divisions like Bio-Instrumentation, Bio-Mechanics, Bio-Material Clinical Engineering, Medical Imaging, Rehabilitation, Tissue Engineering and Systems Physiology.

After completing plus two, a student can join BE or B.Tech in this field and after receiving the GATE score, one can join M.Tech. To those who have completed Bio Medical Engineering there are many chances to work in Medical Research Institutions, Government Drug Control Organization, Corporate Hospitals, Industries and Educational Institutions.
