SVCE to offer interdisciplinary courses-
Chennai: Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), Sriperumbudur is planning to offer interdisciplinary courses in the fields of engineering, technology, health and management.
According to a press release, on its silver jubilee celebrations this year, the college aims to create stronger partnerships with educational and research institutions of national and global repute.
The college established in 1984, offers 10 undergraduate and five postgraduate degree courses. Industrialist A.C. Muthiah is the chairman of the Governing Council of the College.
All the undergraduate courses, except the recently started ones, are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and the college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college has been maintaining an excellent placement record every year, the release said.
The departments of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, applied chemistry, applied physics and humanities and social sciences are recognised by Anna University as research departments, said the release.
