Food Technology-
Scientists and other researchers on Food Products conduct researches on the origin of food production, microorganisms and chemical substances contained in it
The Food Scientists invent techniques to collect and preserve food as per government norms. The students in M.SC learn the process of packing, technology on grains, pulses, oil seeds, fruits, vegetables, techniques related to meat products, food microbes, calculation of calories, quality control and safety of food products.
The course enables the students to work in any big food generating industry.
Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore offers Food Technology course as a Postgraduate study.
The students who have completed B.SC., Chemistry and Biochemistry, or Agriculture, Engineering and Technology can join this course; but they must have studied mathematics either in Plus 2 or in the Degree course.
