It is highly significant that the city comprises of two specialised research institutions in Dalit Studies. Important fact is that International Research Institutes and Multinational companies have very close eye and network with the educational institutes in Delhi to pick the best candidates for its purposes, for which these institutions are very helpful.  

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research.

The institute visualises its future role as, catalyst for new ideas, concepts and skills for the internationalisation of the Indian economy; primary provider of training and research-based consultancy in the areas of international business, both for the corporate sector, Government and the students community; to continuously upgrade its knowledge base with a view to servicing the requirements of the Government, trade and industry through both sponsored and non-sponsored research and consultancy assignments. 

The important feature is that those completing studies here get fabulous placements in World Banks and World Trade Centre. Apart from this, several Multinational Companies also come forward to pick talented persons from this institute to expand their operations elsewhere in the world.

National Law University, Delhi

National Law University, Delhi established in 2008 by Act of National Capital Territory of Delhi and with the initiative of High Court of Delhi is another Law University in the list of premier law Universities established in India.

The vision of the University is to create a Global Legal Institution that will compete with the best outside India and to prepare lawyers for a legal career that introduces them to wide range of opportunities in legal profession across the globe.

IIT Delhi

The concept of the IITs was first introduced in a report in the year 1945 by N.M.Sircar, then member of Education on Vicerorys Executive Council. Following his recommendations, the first Indian Institute of Technology was established in the year 1950 in Kharagpur.

The first offer of help came from USSR who agreed to collaborate in the establishment of an Institute through UNESCO at Bombay. This was followed by the Institutes of Technology at Madras, Kanpur and Delhi with collaborations with West Germany, USA and UK respectively.

Likewise other important cities in the nation having an IIT, its noteworthy that Delhi too has one. It provides world-class education in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology.

Caliper Profile Assessment

The Caliper Profile is a comprehensive assessment which provides measures of your potential to demonstrate those competencies which are essential aspects of successful leadership and management - influencing, managing relationships, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision making, personal organization and time management.

It gives you access to insights about yourself and your qualities. If the Caliper report shows that you have the necessary qualities desired at SOIL, you will be called for an interview that is the Talent Appreciation Process (T.A.P.).

Talent Appreciation Process (T.A.P.)

SOIL conducts the T.A.P. across the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Delhi (NCR). This includes an interview by senior leaders from the SOIL Industry Consortium Companies along with the SOIL faculty. It gives you an opportunity to showcase your strengths. The dates for the TAP are communicated to candidates over email.

Foreign Service Institute (FSI)

Government of India established the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) in 1986, primarily to cater to the professional training needs of the Indian Foreign Service of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Since 2007, Foreign Service Institute is located in a new campus in a 6.5-acre plot of land adjoining the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus. The campus consists of Administrative, Hostel, and Residential complexes.

At present, the Foreign Service Institute functions under the supervision of Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India.

One of the primary activities of the Institute is the training of IFS Probationers with the objective of preparing them to handle the wide range of tasks that they would be required to perform during their professional careers, both in missions and posts abroad as well as in India.

The probationers are put through a comprehensive yearlong training programme, which includes modules on International Relations and Foreign Policy, Defence and Security, Economic Diplomacy, International Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Cultural Diplomacy, Protocol and Consular matters. The programme also includes modules on practical skills such as, Administration and Accounts, Communication Skills, Representational Skills and relations with the Media.

The professional course for Foreign Diplomats (PCFD), which is FSI's main programme for foreign diplomats, was launched in 1992. So far, over 1600 diplomats from nearly 100 countries have obtained training here.

In response to specific requests from friendly countries, the FSI has also conducted special course for diplomats from Afghanistan, Canada, Iraq, Laos, Norway, Palestine, Sudan, Vietnam, and Maldives.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is one of India's premier institutes for training, teaching and research in mass communication. It was set up by the Government of India in 1965 on the recommendation of a team of internationally known mass communication specialists from UNESCO and the Ford Foundation. 

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) with its headquarters at New Delhi also has three Regional Centres in Aizawl (Mizoram), Amravati (Maharashtra) and Dhenkanal (Orissa). Plans are underway to open two more new regional Centres.

Indian agricultural statistics Research institute:
