Admission to Ph.D at University of Calcutta-
Applications are invited for the admission to Ph.D degree Programme at University of Calcutta.
Eligibility: Candidates who have already been awarded Masters Degree in Marine Science or are waiting for their final result, as well as those who have already passed their respective PG degrees in relevant science and technology disciplines from any UGC recognized University/Institute as per UGC guideline.
Those candidates who have already passed NET/SET/GATE/DST-INSPIRE or have passed equivalent examinations are exempted from the written Admission Test. However, they will have to appear in and qualify the interview. Overseas students will be required to produce clearance from the government of Indiaand/or other appropriate authorities, if any, for admission to the Ph.D. Programme. Enrolment in the Ph.D. programme may be allowed to only such foreign nationals as have obtained and are holding research visa
