The last date to apply for GATE 2023 is fixed as Sep 30.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an eligibility test that is required to get admission to Master's degree programs offered at top educational institutes in the country.

Significance: IITs conduct this exam every year on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI). GATE 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT) that is being organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. The exam will be conducted by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee).

Further, it is important that apart from being a gateway to getting admission to Post Graduate programs many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

Eligibility: Undergraduate of any government-approved program in Engineering /Technology /Architecture /Arts /Commerce /Science is eligible to appear for GATE 2023. Students currently studying in 3rd year or above of undergraduate degree can also appear for this exam.

Selection Process: This national-level exam is conducted completely online. Questions would comprise to test the overall understanding of the undergraduate program. The score obtained in this examination is valid for the next 3 years.

Courses: Students may appear in Engineering disciplines including Aerospace, Agriculture, Architecture and Planning, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Environmental Science, Mechanical, Mining, Marine, Petroleum and Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics in Sciences, Humanities and Soil Sciences papers.

Last date to apply: September 30

Exam Dates: February 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th
