Exams as scheduled: OU VC-
Hyderabad : Osmania University(OU) Vice Chancellor Tirupati Rao today clarified that the semester examinations would he held as scheduled from tomorrow.
He told reporters here that there was no question of postponing the examinations as requested by the students Joint Action Committee (JAC), which was involved in the agitation for separate Telagnana State.
"If the exams are postponed, the students will lose this academic year. As Vice Chancellor, it is my responsibility to ensure that the students do not lose an academic year'', he said.
The JAC had demanded that the exams be rescheduled to begin from January 28 as they were organising a Padayatra in support of statehood for Telangnana and would not be able to prepare for the exams,in view of the ongoing stir.
