In today's fast paced world and with growing pressure on all fronts everyone out in the world needs to focus more on mental strength.

Here are some good tips given by a qualified person that would help many to drive the right attitude to gain mental strength.

1 Do not feel sorry for yourself:  Mentally strong people never feel sorry for their circumstances or dwell in harsh memories for their mistreatment.

They take all the responsibility for their actions and outcomes.

They understand the fact that most of the time life is not fair to many.

Even, if caught up in difficult circumstances with self-awareness, they emerge out stronger with the gratitude for the lessons learned.

2. Never give others power to put you down: Strong-minded people refuse to give other people the power to make you bad or down.

Knowing that they are in control of their actions and emotions, they know their strength is in their ability to manage the way they respond.

3. 'New' things and challenge never put them off:  Mentally strong people embrace change and they welcome challenge.

They are more worried about being self-satisfied and dormant.

Many a time a new environment and even uncertainty can energize a mentally strong person and bring out their best.

4. No point worrying about things that are not in your control: Mentally strong people dont complain much about bad traffic, lost luggage, or especially about other people, as they recognize that all of these factors are generally beyond their control.

In a challenging situation, they recognize that the one thing they can always control is their own response and attitude, and they use these attributes well.


5. Never be bothered to please others:  Do you know that people go out of their way to dis-please others as a way to reinforce an image of strength and do you know that people just talk to please others? Neither of it is good.

But, a genuine mentally strong person strives to be fair and kind and to please others wherever it is appropriate, but are unafraid to speak up.

6. Fearless of taking calculated risks: A mentally strong person is willing to take calculated risks. This is very much different than jumping headlong into foolish risks.

But, a person with sound mental strength, will be able to weigh the risks and benefits thoroughly, and will fully assess the potential downsides and even the worst-case scenarios before they take action.

7. Avoid dwelling in the Past:  Experience is gained only through incidents of the past and especially in acknowledging the things learned from past experiencesbut however, a mentally strong person is able to avoid draining their mental energy in past disappointments or in fantasies of the past glorious days.

Primarily, invest majority of their energy in creating conducive present and future.

8. Refrain from making same mistakes over and again: Most of us know the definition of insanity?

A mentally strong person takes full responsibility for past behavior and is willing to learn from mistakes.

Research shows that the ability to be self-reflective in an accurate and productive way is one of the greatest strengths of spectacularly successful persons.

9. Delight in other's success: It takes lot of character to feel genuine joy and excitement for other peoples success.

Mentally strong people have this ability.

When others succeed, they genuinely happy and cannot be jealous or resentful. Instead are willing to work hard for their own chances of success, without taking any shortcuts.

10. Never give up on failure: Every failure is a chance to improve. Even the most successful person will accept that their early efforts consistently brought many failures.

Mentally strong people are willing to fail again and again, if necessary, as long as the learning experience from every failure can bring them closer to their ultimate goals.

11. Fear time alone: Strong people enjoy and even value the time they spend alone.

They use their downtime to reflect, to plan, and to be productive. Most importantly, they dont need anyone to sympathize on their happiness and moods.

They can be happy in a crowd and they can also be happy alone.

12. Never posses high esteem about your potential caliber: In the current economy, students and individuals are gaining the realization that the world does not owe them a right salary, a benefits package and a comfortable life, regardless of their preparation and schooling.

Mentally tough people are prepared to work hard and expect success only at the due course of time.

13. Never expect results in undue time:  It may be a workout plan, a nutritional regimen, or starting a business, mentally strong people are prepared for a long haul.

They don t expect immediate results.

They posses the power to hang on, and understand that genuine changes take time.

Certainly, to draft these skills are easy, but to hone these skills take much more time, patience and practice.
