Is it only the Government of India, which provides scholarships, fellowships, etc in India?- 5-Mar-2008

In addition to the Government of India or the Central Government, there are several private and other organizations that also provide or grant scholarships, fellowships, etc. As classified in the Home Page of website educationsupport.nic.in the Scholarships, freeships, fellowships, etc are provided by the following categories of organizations:

 

Government, through its various Ministries, Departments, Institutions, Organizations or Agencies;

(b)  Non Government institutions or bodies, including Trusts, Foundations and NGOs;

(c)  Exchange Scholarships instituted by the foreign governments, routed through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), available for Indian nationals for study, research or for other purposes specified in the schemes, in their respective countries; and

(d)  Education loans granted by Banks in India.
