Commonwealth Masters Scholarship -

Students obtaining admission to a full-time Masters degree at UK universities may apply online for the Commonwealth Masters Scholarship.


Students having got admission to programs that commences in Sep/ Oct 2023 at UK universities that have been selected by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission may apply for this scholarship.  


Applicants seeking admission to courses commencing September/October 2023 at any one of the UK universities opted by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. This scholarship is provided to any one of the fields in the below-mentioned 6 topics.


Topics:


The Scholarship is broadly offered under six developmental themes:


• Science and Technology for Development


• Strengthening health systems and capacity


• Promoting global prosperity


• Strengthening global peace, security and governance


• Strengthen resilience and response to crises


• Access, inclusion and opportunity


Qualifications:


Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of India. Have to fulfill all eligibility criteria specified by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Must be willing to join classes commencing in September/ October 2023.


Mode of Selection:


After receiving applications from Indian students for the 2023 Commonwealth Master Scholarship, the Ministry of Education of India recommends 39 students to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. The students recommended by MoE, India are not directly selected for the scholarship. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission will select the eligible candidates from the recommended list. 


How to Apply:


The entire application process will be done online. As per notification of MoE India, students may apply through https://proposal.sakshat.ac.in/scholarship/ website. 


Before that, it is also necessary to register on the website of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.


Also, a confirmed proof of admission from any UK university listed at https://cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk/ukuniversities/ should be submitted by 4 pm on 6th December this year.
