Getting good marks in plus two common exams facilitates to get into dream studies like Medicine and Engineering and obtaining a seat in a college of ones choice.  In college studies, apart from getting gold medal, improving Soft Skills, Aptitude and developing multiple skills will make employment lot easier.  As for as employment is concerned, skills are more important than marks.

Duty of college:

Although many companies come for campus interview, it is important to understand that the companies would select only those students who are equipped with skills that are required for their area of operations. However the student may be - bright or mediocre, it is the responsibility of the college to empower the students with self confidence through proper guidance and encourage them to develop required skills sets.  Only if such an environment is provided the standard of engineering colleges would improve.

Colleges should assist students to develop using technologies such as Mobile Phone and Internet.  Further, parents apprehension about engineering studies and its poor scope for future should go and confidence instilled.  However, if the students work hard, posses determination even if they had studied in anyplace, though may have secured only 50% in plus two, studied in Tamil medium school, they still can be a great success.

Enrichment of knowledge:

Students can enrich their knowledge participating in seminars and competitions hosted within the college and in other colleges. Students should take up lot of projects willingly.

Students while studying in school, some parents decide what their children should study next. It should be strictly avoided. Find out the right desire of the student and admit them in the relevant studies.  Job opportunities are numerous in every sector. Whatever may be the area of study, it is important to develop relevant skills.

Students from the villages show more interest towards studies than students from the cities. They generally show more interest towards practical than theory classes.  Through practical lot more could be learned that would be highly useful for employment.
