Punjab Technical University Combined Entrance Test (PTU CET)-
Introduction
Punjab Technical University conducts the PTU Combined Entrance Test for admission to the 1st year B. Tech.,B.Arch and B. Pharm Courses of the participating colleges and Universities. However 15% of the seats in theses Colleges will be filled up on the basis of the score of All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). Those who want to claim seats through AIEEE need not take the PTUCET, but it is necessary for them to fill up the application form. The AIEEE score is considered only for those candidates who are residents of states other than Punjab.
Obtaining the Application form of PTU CET,2007:
The application form and information brochure can be obtained by sending a demand draft draft of Rs. 550/-drawn in favor of Registrar, PTU payable at Jalandhar.
It can also be obtained in person on cash payment of Rs. 500/- from the Admission Cell of PTU at Ladwali Road, other participating Universities, Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture Colleges affiliated to PTU, Directorate of Technical Education, Chandigarh. The information brochures of PTU CET can also be procured from the selected branches of Punjab National Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Submitting the Application Form:
For appearing in the PTU CET, 2007 the duly filled application form along with the examination fee should reach the Admission Cell, PTU, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar on or before 22nd May, 2007.
Participating Universities and Colleges:
The PTU CET is held for admission to the 1st year B.Tech/B.Arch and B.Pharm Courses in the affiliated colleges of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Guru Nanak Dev University Ludhiana , Punjabi University, Patiala and PTU Caparo School of Excellence in Manufacturing and Material Technology.

Last Date of Receipt of Application Form: May.
Date of PTU CET, 2007: June.
Those who seek admission on the basis of the score in AIEEE need to submit their application form on or before June.
