As for as Engineering syllabus is concerned, just academic knowledge alone will not help. It should be based on practical. Engineering students should be equipped to use their knowledge practically. Jobs available are plenty. It is important to posses the right qualification for Employment
Expectation of companies:
Understanding the expectations of the companies and fulfilling their requirement will not ask for a situation of joblessness. Companies will come seeking appropriate candidates if you happen to understand and study.
Just before providing a job it has become necessary for the companies to provide training for both Arts & Science students as well as engineering students. As Arts & Science students are willing to go little with lesser pay, many companies seek Arts & Science colleges. But, engineering student need not worry about placements if they acquire sound knowledge on the subject, develop the needed skill sets while in college itself.
Nurture self-confidence:
Schools should encourage students acting with self confidence. Parents too should play a major role in developing their childs confidence. They should encourage the children with words, you can do it, you can succeed in anything if you try correctly.
Even some parents, after getting loan from the bank are so frightened to take it to the college to pay for their child. All their worry is that will it be possible to repay the loan money after getting a job. This shows that they do not have confidence on their children. They forget that they are ones who are supposed instill confidence in their children. After joining college, it is the responsibility of the college to infuse confidence to the students.
Research is needed:
Although, students have the interest to pursue Post Graduation and as well as Research work, familys economic situation stands as a big hindrance. Many parents think that their child would be of great support to the familys economy after getting a job once they complete their Under Graduation studies. It is impractical to say that their views are wrong owing to their family circumstances.
Many taking up research activities are good for the nations development. Consequently, many students should take up at least part time research work.
