Freshers need to focus on gaining experience!- 29-Jul-2015
When compared to arts & science courses, expenses incurred to complete Engineering course is much greater. It is possible to complete arts & science course and obtain a degree just within Rs50, 000. However, engineering studies would cost close to Rs 1 Lakh for one year. As a result, parents turn down to give importance to make their wards pursue engineering studies.
Although, currently, if the parents would not have realized whether engineering studies is necessary or not, soon within two to three years they will realize. Pursuing engineering study is much better than arts & science degree. In the future, to pursue higher education as well as for job opportunities and to seek job overseas, eventually engineering studies will be only of much help. Engineering studies facilitates to obtain specialized opportunities.
Sound English: Both, lack of aptitude and poor skill development in todays students can be attributed the reason for not getting a good job opportunity. During school days itself students should develop their English language skills. Major chunk of students come from rural area to pursue higher education. They find it difficult to improve English knowledge after coming to college.
If only English knowledge is gained during school days, college education would be lot more easy. Schools also need to give importance towards this. Especially government schools need give lot of importance to English languages and mathematics.
Most schools function with the objective of just making the student pass, so they teach only the easiest lesson and leave the rest. Students also keep passing through without studying the entire portion. If this situation needs to change, highly skilled teachers should be appointed.
Need for experience: Companies are willing to give jobs, but todays students and parents are hesitant to take up outstation jobs. They desire only for jobs close to their house.
Fresh graduates should not be bothered about the pay package or the location of the company or work spot. They should realize the importance getting few years of experience.
After completing studies, it is not a must to go for work. They can take up any self employment initiative. Schools and colleges are only responsible to provide the needed guidance and encouragement towards this venture.
