Generally, Mathematics is divided into Pure Maths and Applied Maths. Pure Maths deals with Theorems and Problems that is used to apply practically in other areas. Applied Maths is solving problems arising in other segments with help of Mathematics.
An applied math expert works along with people from various other fields. For which, he should be an skilled in identifying problems. His approach should be flexible and possess logical reasoning. Apart from understanding the geological changes and techniques, he should possess the interest to solve the problems related to it.
Algebra: Being an important part of Mathematics, Algebra consists of number theory, geometry and analysis. In its most general form, algebra is the study of mathematical symbols and the rules for manipulating these symbols; it is a unifying thread of almost all of mathematics. Geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships involving lengths and angles of triangles.
