Admission to Ph.D programme-

Course Offered: Ph.D. for Non-stipendiary candidates
Eligibility:
(i) A candidate should have obtained a Master's Degree with not less than 55% marks or equivalent Grade. In the case of examinations, where classification does not exist, a minimum of 55% marks is needed in the qualifying examination. for SC/ST candidates and all other candidates who have completed the PG Degree before 1991, the minimum will be only 50% for admission to the Ph.D. programme.
(ii) A candidates should pass an Entrance Exam (Written and Oral) administered by duly constituted committee of the Department in the University or of an affiliated college where the candidate proposed to undergo Ph.D. programme
How to Apply:
Application forms can be had from the University Enquiry Office on payment of rs. 500/-by way of an Account payee Demand Draft from any Nationalised Bank drawn in favour of " The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai 600 005"
