IES/ISS Examination-2010 UPSC-
The UPSC has invited applications from eligible candidates for appearing in Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2010 to be conuducted at various centers across the country.
A candidate applying for the Indian Economic Service has to possess a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Busines Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or a foreign university approved by the Central Government from time to time.
Application form along with an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledegment card and an envelope for sending the application are avaialble at the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only).
Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp, available from designated Head Post Offices or P.Os.
Candidates residing abroad have to deposit the prescribed fee in the office of India's High Commissioner, Ambassador or representative abroad as the case may be for credit to account head "051-Public Service Commission-Examination Fees" and attach the receipt with the application.
Application can be sent through online vide website: www.upsc.gov.in and those candidates are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Filled in application form and the acknowledgement card are to be mailed in the special envelope supplied with the Information Brochure to "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069". The name of examination viz. "Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2010" is to be written on the envelope.
Last date of submission of application is 05th July, 2010.
