Mr. Montek Singh Aluvalia, Vice President, Planning Commission of India inaugurated the institution. Renowned experts in Economics, Educationalists, Industrialists and Lawyers participated in the function.

While addressing the gathering, he appreciated the role of private institutions in  education development. He further stated that in the early 90s, the Industrial Sector was liberalized since the industries and Industrial associations made request. Similarly, as per the educationists request, the Department of Education is likely to be liberalized. In  1991, Dr.Manmohan Singh made this liberalization policy operational.  Hence, revenue started to flow into the country. In the same way, knowledge too would flow if educational liberalization policy is enforced.

Only 11% obtain higher education out of the total Indian population. Before the implementation of the Eleventh Five Year Plan, the government has decided to boost up the figure to 21%.  When looking at the pace at which population is growing, the number of   colleges must be doubled. The government alone cannot embark on this colossal task. Private institutions also should be ready to take up the challenges.

Human Resource Development  must play a crucial role for the sturdy growth in Economy. The wholehearted participation of private institutions in this sector must be cherished.

Mr. Aluvalia  appreciating the activities of private institutions and universities in the development of education, stressed the importance of new private institutions with excellent quality to come up.
