Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a 'Hindi University' would be set up in the state.
"We will make efforts to develop and strengthen Hindi by setting up a varsity, so that other states could learn a lesson from Madhya Pradesh," the Chief Minister said, addressing a condolence meeting here following the death of Jagdish Prasad Vaidik, a Hindi scholar and one of the founders of erstwhile Jan Sangh.
It would be a tribute to Vaidik, he added.
