Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court directed the state government to provide all logistics to CBI which has been entrusted to investigate into the examinations conducted by state Public Service Commission (JPSC).

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Prakash Tatia also directed the government to provide the necessary manpower to the investigating agency.

The direction came after CBI moved the court pleading adequate logistics be given to the agency for taking over the investigation from the vigilance department on the direction of the court.

CBI had on July 5 filed an FIR against more than 75 persons in connection with the 12 examinations as they were found to be 'not fair'.

Making the second JPSC examinations as the central point of being tainted with unfair means, the high court had on June 14 directed the probe into twelve various examinations.

The court had also ordered all officers, barring a woman officer, who had cleared JPSC-II examinations and got postings in various state government departments to stop work till CBI concluded its probe and their salaries be stopped as the combined competitive examination was found to be improper as well.
