Need to have greater understanding!- 7-Dec-2017

Some people are very much ready to fulfill vows to various gods and goddesses if cricket batsmen stay on 99 for a long time. In case, he touches the century mark many would praise him. Some would even roast him on a frying pan, it he fails to reach that particular milestone.

The sad thing is that this number game is so deep rooted even in studies too.  Gone are those days that the parents used to say, a child to keep our name aloft, but today we force children to study hard by saying, you should keep my name high in the society.

We force them to go to special classes after special classes to the extent that the child doesnt even know the day making their spine that this supposed to be upright, but bent like question a mark.  Though there are lots of talents abundant in children, we send them to rot in the dust bin.

Parents who knew how to differentiate between studies and talents, leave the children on their own way.  But, on the hand there other parents who really torment their children just for the sake of society.  Mohammad Rifath Sharook, a student form Karur, teaches such parents with the precise lesson.

He being the head of a team called Special Kids India a team that comprises 6 members team that successfully launched the 64 gram satellite, Kalam Sat in June last from the NASA launch pad.

It hit headlines that the Tamil Nadu chief Minster lauded this effort and appreciated them with Rs10 Lakh award. We have another lesson too fro this news, that though received such accolades, Sharrok was not a topper in school; he scored an ordinary 750 marks out of the 1200. Here is take home message for everyone that there is no relationship to marks and talent. This is a true example of that above all the skills, creative thinking is very important.

There are many boys and girls like this. But, several parents have failed to realize such talents. Every child has the seed of becoming a great achiever. Its the responsibility of the parents to find out such talents and water it up, so that it grows in the right direction.

If parents happen to do such a job precisely, they are the ones who would find joy in such trees that sprouts out of their children.
