Let's seek knowledge! - 13-Dec-2017

We need to seek knowledge. For those who seek knowledge, the way  to the heaven is short! This is a proverb from Quran!

In the Bible it is say, He who seeks knowledge is a blessed.  The reason is that it is more precious than gold and rubies.  All that is covetous is not good.

After love, all religions speak about knowledge. But, how many of us read the Holy Scriptures including BhagawatGita and Ramayana. In America, over 150 colleges teach Bhagawat Gita provided by Lord Krishna as a lesson.  But, it is sorry state here in India, where it is supposed to be the birth place.

If somebody asks who Arjunan is, we will be able to reply it very easily, saying, he is one among the Pandava brothers.  Our syllabus has taught us only to that level.  At the most we will be able say that he was good at Archery. But, those who have read the Gita would be able to say that he was a man of wisdom and seeker of knowledge.

Through Arjunan, Bhagawat Gita teaches us to control the five senses. We should be like Arjuna in seeking the truth, and not like any fool and lazy person.  We shouldnt be living just for the sake of living; we should have some meaningful purpose in life!

Every human being is seeking after something! But, it sets us on the worldly path seeking towards fleshly desires and vain things of this world. Thats the reason why we are not able to read and understand some of the good lessons written by some famous writers.

Even without basic science and mathematics knowledge, almost 90% of us have obtained some degree or the other. If we desire to acquire knowledge vaguely, it is just like waste water poured over an inverted pot.

From, now onwards lets start to be like Arjunan with self control, on what we need to see, on what we need to hear and what we need to talk. If not we would become a curse to this world.

Only if we seek knowledge with control over our five senses, our life will be like never drying fountain.
