Chennai:The Tamil Nadu Open University has invited application for admission to the following distance mode courses for 2010-2012 Batch:
1. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
2. Bachelor of Edcuation in Special Education (B.Ed. SE)
Eligibility for B.Ed Course:
Candidates who have passed the UG degree (11+1+3 or 10+2+3 steams) in the following subjects can apply for B.Ed. through distance mode: Tamil, Tamil literature, English, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Applied Physics, Geo-Physics, Bio-Physicis, Electronics, Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Botany, Environmental Science, Bio-Technology, Plant-Biology, Zoology, Micro-Biology, History, Geography, Applied Geography, Computer Science, Computer Application and Information Technology.
Post-Graduates (5 year Integrated Course under 10+2+5 or 11+1+5 pattern) in Economics, Commerce, Home Science, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Logic and Indian Culture can also apply.
Eligibility for B.Ed. SE Course:
Candidates who have passed the UG Degree Examination from any UGC recognised University in the 10+2+3 stream or 11+1+3.
The prospectus and application can be obtained from the Office of Registrar, Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai - 25, in person on payment of Rs.500 or by post sending a demand draft for Rs.550/- in favour of TNOU payable at Chennai.
Last date for submission of filled-in Application is 01.09.2010.
