How to get admission in JIPMER- 15-Feb-2018
Situated in Puducherry, this is one of the leading medical college in India that is entitled to conduct its own admission examination by the Medical Council of India.
Just like AIIMS medical college, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education Research (JIPMER) too has been exempted from following NEET admission process.
Admission towards MBBS studies in this institution is conducted through JIPMER Entrance Examination.
Eligibility: With subjects -Physics, Chemistry and Biology in plus two, should have passed plus two with 45%. However, SC/ ST candidates need to pass with 40%.
Examination Procedure: To be held for 2 hours, the CBT model exam is a computer based online examination that comprises of 180 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Then, 20 more question from General Knowledge and analytical skills, totaling 200 questions.
All questions are objective type based on multiple choice questions, will be in English and Hindi.
Through this exam, 200 seats will be filled.
