Being the top medical education provider in the country, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is operational in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhuvaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh. Students admission is being carried out through an exclusive AIIMS Entrance Exam.
Based on the marks obtained by the students passed in the entrance exam, through merit and ranking system the seats are filled.
Eligibility: Must have cleared plus two with 60% marks with subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in plus two. For SC/ST candidates 55% is enough in plus two.
Exam procedure: The computer based online exam is a 3 hour exam, comprising of 180 questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) 60 questions in each subject. Then, 20 questions in general knowledge and analytical skills, totaling 200 questions. All questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ) in Hindi and English.
Minimum cut off marks: In this entrance exam candidates from General category should score 50%, OBC-45% and SC/ST-40%.
AIIMS Post Graduate Entrance Exam
MBBS passed candidates willing to join MD, MS, Mch, and MDS in AIIMS institutions need to take up this exam.
Eligibility: Only those having completed MBBS in recognized institutions can write this exam. Candidates willing to join MDS should have completed BDS in a recognized institution.
Exam procedure: For MS and MD 200 questions will be asked in objective type. Time duration of the exam is 3 hours. For MDS 90 questions will be asked. Duration of this exam is 1 hour. Admission to all Post Graduate studies in based on entrance examination.
