Introduction
Vellore Institute of Technology better known as VIT is a premier Institute of Technology in India that offers 17 undergraduate programmes and 28 postgraduate programmes. The VIT campus is spread over 250 acres of land on the Ranipet- Katpadi road at Vellore that is situated between two important cities- Chennai and Bangalore.
VIT is all set to conduct the VITEE as the notification for the engineering entrance exam is already out and it is time for the aspirants to hit the book.
Eligibility conditions for VITEEE
If you are appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent exam in March/ April or have already passed the exam with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology you are eligible to take the VITEEE. However the SC/ST candidates and candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur& Mizoram need to have 50 % average marks in the above mentioned subjects.

Application procedure
You can procure the application forms from the designated branches of State Bank of India, Indian Bank or Post Offices on cash payment of Rs. 850/ or by handing over a DD of Rs. 850/ in person at VIT University, Vellore or their administrative office. One can also get the form by post by sending a request containing full address of the applicant and a DD of Rs. 850 drawn in favor of "Vellore Institute of Technology" payable at Vellore to the Admissions officer VIT University, Vellore-632 014, Tamil Nadu, India.
