- Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant subject
- 50% marks for SC/ST candidates

- The candidate selected for the JRF programme of ICMR should register for Ph.d in any university recognised by UGC/MCI within 6 months of the selection
- The validity of the result is 2 years for placement in ICMR funded projects
