Eligibility Criteria Age Up to 40 years
Academic PhD or equivalent research and academic publications

Other		 The candidate should be permanently employed
Humanities & Social Sciences
The candidate should possess sound German language ability
Natural, Medical and Engineering Sciences
The candidate should have good command of English.
Fellowship Details Duration

Initially for 6 to 12 months

Extension possible up to a total period of 24 months


Value
  • DM 3,000 DM 3,800 pm
  • Grants for family members accompanying research fellows to Germany for at least three months
  • Children''s allowance:  DM 380
  • Additional grants for German language courses of two to four months at language tuition institute in Germany prior to the actual period of research 
Passage Cost To be borne by AvH, if not borne by parent institutions. 
Application Procedure Applications may be forwarded thorough German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
Notification & Deadline Any time of the year
