NTS-India invites proposals from Individuals / Group of Scholars/ Departments of Universities/ Research Institutions/NGOs, etc., forextending financial assistance under its GIA Sub Scheme. This is initiated with a view to encourage and promote the developmental activities such as preparation of the basic materials and imparting training in the area of testing and evaluation (A portion of the total funds allocated is earmarked for North-Eastern region only)

The usual amount of financial assistance is Rs.75,000/- per instance. However, depending on the significance of study/project, the amount could be enhanced. Generally the grant is provided fr the following activities:
1. For undertaking short term research studies.
2. For developing reference materials through workshops.
3. For organizing seminars/training programmes, etc.

The topic of research activity should be different from those for which financial assistance has already been provided (list of such topics could be viewed in websites of the CT & E and NTS).

The proposals along with the duly filled in application in the prescribed format should reach the Head, NTS-India, CIIL, Mysore 570006, within 21 days of the date of publication of this advertisement. (28 days for the candidates from North- East region).
