Karunya University Entrance Exam-
Introduction
Karunya University was established on 4th October 1986 in Coimbatore as a Christian Minority Institution. But it got the status of a University in September 2006. Karunya is a fully residential co-educational University and it is compulsory for students to write the Karunya Entrance Exam for admission to various programmes offered by it.
Admission to the undergraduate programme of Karunya University is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the 10+2 level examination and the Karunya Entrance Examination to be held on 25th April 2009.
Eligibility:
For admission to the B.E. and B.Tech programme of Karunya University candidates need to pass the 12th standard (under the 10+2 pattern) in the first attempt with at least 55% marks in aggregate in Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. However for admission to B.Tech in Bio programmes candidates can have a subject in life Science instead of Mathematics. They should also be below 21 years of age as on 1st July 2009.
Obtaining the Application Forms for Admission to Karunya Entrance Exam:
Application forms for Karunya Entrance Exam can be obtained by sending a request along with a crossed demand draft of Rs. 750/- drawn in favor of "The Registrar, Karunya University" payable at Coimbatore. The postal address for sending the request is - Admissions, Officer, Karunya University, Coimbatore - 641114. The application forms can also be downloaded from the University website- http://www.karunya.edu/ Those who download the application form should make the payment at the time of sending the filled in application form. Payment can also be made online through credit card/ visa/master card.
Submitting the Hall Ticket for Karunya Entrance Exam:
The duly filled in application form/hall ticket should reach either The Admission Officer (University Campus) Karunya University, Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore- 641114 or The Admission Officer (Chennai Office) Karunya University, 16, Greenways Road, Chennai-600028.
Test Centres of Karunya Entrance Exam:
The Karunya Entrance Exam 2009 will be held at Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Nagercoil, Trichy, Tirunelveli Tuticorin, Bangalore, Cochin, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Rajamundry, Ranchi and Trivandram.
