NIFT programmes towards Fashion!- 6-Feb-2019
NIFT that is National Institute of Fashion Technology was established with purpose of providing quality education to bring out novel ideas and commercial development through the art of designing in the sphere of Fashion.
It was established in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India offering programmes in design, management and technology for the international fashion business.
The following courses are offered under Bachelors of Design:
Accessory Design
Fashion Communication
Fashion Design
Knitwear Design
Leather Design
Textile Design
In the last 30 years, this institution has brought several lakhs of experts in the domain of fashion. This institution has campuses in 16 places including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Patna, including an international centre in Mauritius.

B.F.Tech 4 year programme
M.Des 2 year programme
M.F.M 2 year old programme
M.F.Tech -2 year programme
Phd
NIFT offers four-year undergraduate, as well as two-year post-graduate, programmes in design, management, and technology.
Students need to take two written admission tests: the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT) to obtain admission in UG & PG Design programmes.
For UG & PG programmes in technology and management, need to qualify in national level entrance examination.
NIFT organises its own entrance exam yearly in India.
